FAQ
Everything about fusing, wallets and NFTs. New here? Start with how it works.
The basics
What is Poké Fusion?
A fusion lab for the original 151 Pokémon. Pick any two and the lab splices them into a brand-new creature with its own sprite, name, Pokédex entry, types, stats and rarity. Every fusion ever made is in the FusionDex.
Does it cost anything?
No. Fusing is free, and so are minting and trading minted fusions: the lab pays every gas fee, including the one-time approval a linked wallet signs before its first trade.
How many fusions can I make?
One fusion an hour, up to 5 per rolling 24 hours, and only one can be in the chamber at a time. Spacing them out gives more trainers a shot at each Pokémon. Fusions that fail don't count, and trading fusions away doesn't give you more. You need to sign in (with a wallet or email) to fuse.
What's the difference between the body and the traits?
The body Pokémon sets the shape, the pose and the first type. The traits Pokémon lends its colors, face and signature features, plus a second type. Stats are an average of both parents, give or take a little. Swap them and you get a very different fusion.
Why is a Pokémon marked “Used up”?
Every Pokémon can be used in 3 fusions, by anyone, as either the body or the traits. Once it has been in 3, it's used up for good and the lab greys it out. Fusions made before this rule started don't count. The picker shows how many uses each Pokémon has left.
Why can't I fuse a pair anymore?
Either one of the two Pokémon is used up, or the pair itself is: every pair can be fused 3 times, and after the third edition it's closed for good. Order matters: Charizard + Mew and Mew + Charizard are separate pairs.
What's a Trainer Card?
Your profile. It's issued when you first sign in, with a wallet or with email, and you can sign back in to it from any device the same way.
Rarity
How is rarity decided?
When a fusion hatches it collects tags, and each tag is worth points. A little luck goes on top, and the total sets the tier:
- Common: 0+ points
- Uncommon: 2+ points
- Rare: 4+ points
- Ultra Rare: 6+ points
- Mythic: 9+ points
Legendary parents, rare Pokémon, high stats and being the first or last edition of a pair all help. Two legendaries together are the surest path to Mythic.
What are Shiny and Glitch?
Lucky rolls that change how the fusion looks. Hatched in an alternate color palette. About 1 in 32 fusions. Carries MissingNo.-style pixel corruption. About 1 in 128 fusions. Both also count toward rarity.
Can a fusion's rarity or stats change later?
No. They're rolled once when it hatches and stored forever. Minting writes them into the NFT itself.
Wallets
Do I need a wallet?
No. Sign in with your own wallet, or with email and the lab creates a wallet for you. Browsing works without signing in at all.
Should I link my own wallet or let the lab create one?
Link your own if you already use a crypto wallet. You hold the keys, so you can send your NFTs anywhere and list them on OpenSea. Linking only asks you to sign a free message.
Sign in with email (or tap Create one for me) if you don't. The lab sets up a wallet and looks after it for you: no app, no seed phrase. Your NFTs are minted to it and move with your trades, but you can't send them out of it yourself yet. If you want to sell on OpenSea, link your own wallet before you mint.
Which wallets work?
Any Ethereum-style (EVM) wallet, such as MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet or Rainbow, or any wallet that supports WalletConnect. Your NFTs live on Robinhood Chain.
How do I add Robinhood Chain to my wallet?
Many wallets list it already. If yours doesn't, add a custom network with these details:
- Network name
- Robinhood Chain
- RPC URL
https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com- Chain ID
4663- Currency
- ETH
- Explorer
- robinhoodchain.blockscout.com
NFTs
How do I mint a fusion?
- Get a wallet: link your own or create one from your Trainer Card.
- Open one of your fusions and find the Token row.
- Press Mint on Robinhood Chain. It lands in your wallet a few seconds later, and the gas is on us.
What's in the NFT?
Everything that makes the fusion yours: its name, Pokédex entry, rarity, types, parents, edition, tags and all six stats. The token on Robinhood Chain points to that data and the art, both pinned on IPFS, so the NFT doesn't depend on our servers. The token ID is the fusion's serial number.
How do I see my NFT in my wallet?
Most wallets pick it up by themselves once Robinhood Chain is added. If yours doesn't, import it by hand. In MetaMask:
- Switch the network to Robinhood Chain.
- Open the NFTs tab and choose Import NFT.
- Paste the contract address
0xce86c37c02Abcb1d84b72a0372b83254481782e4. - Enter the token ID: your fusion's serial number without the # and leading zeros (#0043 is 43).
Other wallets have a similar “Import” or “Add NFT” option. You can always see it on the fusion's page in the lab: the Token row links to it on the explorer and on OpenSea.
Can I see or sell my fusions on OpenSea?
Yes. Poke Fusion is a collection on OpenSea, which supports Robinhood Chain. Open the collection, or connect the wallet that holds your fusions to OpenSea to see them on your profile, list them or take offers. Selling needs a wallet you control, so this works for linked wallets.
How do I send an NFT to another wallet?
From a wallet you linked, either:
- open the NFT in your wallet app and choose Send, then paste the other wallet's address, or
- open it on OpenSea, press the ⋯ menu and choose Transfer.
Sending it yourself costs a tiny amount of ETH on Robinhood Chain for gas (less than a cent). Double-check the address: transfers can't be undone.
Lab-created wallets can't send yet. To move fusions between trainers in the lab, use a trade instead: minted fusions move wallet to wallet, and the lab pays the gas.
Why does my first trade ask me to “Allow trades”?
When a trade is accepted, the lab moves the minted fusions between wallets for you. Your wallet has to give it permission once, and only for Poke Fusion NFTs. Lab-created wallets do this automatically. Linked wallets sign it themselves, and the lab sends them the gas it costs first.
